“Make your wish, honey!” said Paul excitedly.

I closed my eyes and pictured Paul and myself living our lives together. Oh how beautiful it would be…..a life with him and him with me.

He got up slowly and walked at an agonizingly slow pace to the door as though he was pondering about something deeply. He let himself out and I could here him walking to the car.

I let my tears flowed and thought to myself how insensitive he was! He knew I had been waiting for so long! As I cried, I picked up the spoon and played with the cake, stabbing it and breaking it a part.
